Big Scary Ideas

000004.JPG

Last night I felt restless. I didn’t have anywhere to be, or anything in particular to do, but something felt out of sorts.

I spent a couple of hours flitting between reading and scrolling, watching and more scrolling, wandering around the house trying to jog my memory of what I was supposed to be doing.

Nothing worked, until it did.

As I sat on my couch, laptop in lap, phone in hand, I had an idea so big and glorious and scary come to me that I nearly gasped out loud.

Like the all genius ideas, it was simple and something I should’ve came to a logical conclusion about myself…but I didn’t.

The idea came to me, plain and simple. Call it a download or a message from the Universe / my higher self. I don’t care. All that matters is that the idea popped into my head at the right moment for me to receive, and run with, it.

I spent the next hour feverishly bouncing around Google definitions, looking for the perfect title of this space (yes it’s a space, an online one). I felt pulled towards a few concepts but none of them felt right – and when it comes to names and titles, when you know, you know.

But then, I found it. The perfect word, that not only sounds cool but has the intriguing and satisfying definitions to back it up. It makes sense, in all sense of the word. Oh, yes I did haha.

I’m not going to share the magic word just yet, but what I will say is this: it’s four letters and is vague enough to be intriguing but if you know what it means you instantly feel “yep, aha, that’s brilliant”.

So yeah. My message, or lesson for this, is to firstly let yourself be bored and restless and floating in “what next?” because as soon as you put yourself into receiving mode – aka let the Universe know that you’re open to new ideas – they come to you and hit you hard and fast and change the course of your life!

Secondly, pick an excellent name before you move through a project. Or don’t. You know what works for you. But I always find that it helps me brand the project as such, and it’s easier for me to envision it once I have something to launch off.

And now we arrive at the end of our first week together. Five days, five blogs, five lessons of sorts. I hope you enjoyed this week’s musings, and I’ll be back on Monday for more daily thoughts

Love, Viv
