Sharing what you love with the world

Right now, my friend Amie is hosting an instagram challenge called promoteyourartfor20days

Amie is great at these challenges. She’s always coming up with brilliant ideas and ways for her community to connect and have space to share their magic.

When I first saw the challenge, created in honour of Amie’s upcoming intensive workshops on social media and procrastination, I thought how clever it was, but didn’t give it a second thought for myself.

My brain argued “You’re not creating right now. Your book is sitting sadly in Google Docs, waiting for you to get your shit together. You’ve barely written outside of last week’s love letter and a whole lotta uni notes. This space isn’t for you.”.

What a mean bitch.

My Higher Self clearly knew better, because she encouraged me to expand my view on what I deem as art. And then I remembered: life is art.

And if life is art, then anything we do can be shared through this lens. Anything we’re proud of, that brings us joy, that we adore, that we want others to connect with. All of that is art.

A lot of us (clearly me included) are still playing old programming that art is paintings and sculptures and photographs protected in galleries. That only those creators are deemed artists because they’ve been validated by society.

We know that is bullshit, so why are we still playing into it?

I don’t have the answer for you right now, friend (although I suspect Amie and James have explored it in their podcast) but I do know that since I leap out of my comfort zone and started sharing my Human Design tips (which I happened to film the day before the challenge started - SYNCRONICITY OR WHAT?) so much magic has unfolded.

I’ve had friends tell me how I light up talking about HD, I’ve had community members reach out and share how helpful my videos are, I’ve had sweet souls share that they plan to book a reading (yay! You can too ~ just click the link below).

And the best part is that I’ve had genuine fun putting the videos together. The whole process has felt easy and light, and I feel a deep sense of pride each time I post.

I have fully surrendered to the numbers and statistics and instead trust that this is the type of art that is timeless. This information will always be relevant, because we’ll always have our Human Design chart.

This mindset and permission slip is applicable for you too, ya know. Whatever art you’re creating right now, whatever magnificent creations you’ve stashed in the vault out of fear or doubt, it’s all worthy of being seen.

In fact, I believe that’s why we create 90% of the time ~ to connect.

Sure, there will always be pieces that are just for us, or so deeply vulnerable and cathartic that they don’t feel right to be seen by others ~ but the majority of our creations come to us in idea form so they can be shared with the world.

Somewhere, someone on this planet is craving the exact thing you’ve already brought to life.

Whether that’s a physical piece, something made of pixels, something spoken or performed, something abstract, something immersive, something that can only be experienced under a Leo Full Moon ~ there’s an audience out there waiting for it.

Your soul created something for their soul to be dazzled and activated by.

So are you gonna keep hiding? Or are you gonna do the brave thing and share it ~ even if your brain doesn’t deem it worthy?

It’s always up to you, sweet pal. But I will never stop advocating for the sharing. For gifting others the magic of your art. For liberating yourself of the boxes and labels and shoulds. For doing the brave, exciting thing.

Love, Viv

P.S. If that all sounds grand but you need a little support and guidance to get there (I know that place well) then a Cosmic Coaching Session can be that safe space for you. Book yours below ~ and take sweet care.]
